Healing Touch
Healing Touch is an energy therapy in which practitioners consciously use their hands in a heart-centered and intentional way to support and facilitate physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health. Practitioners use non-invasive techniques to clear, energize, and balance the human and environmental energy fields, thus affecting physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. Healing Touch is based on a heart-centered, caring relationship in which the practitioner and client come together energetically to facilitate the client’s health and healing. The goal of Healing Touch is to restore balance and harmonies in the energy system, placing the client in a position to self-heal.
Accreditations and Endorsements
Healing Touch Program is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. The Healing Touch Program has been peer-reviewed and is endorsed by the American Holistic Nurses Association and the Canadian Holistic Nurses Association.
JoAnne Veith, RN, HTCP/I
JoAnne is a Registered Nurse, and a Healing Touch Certified Practitioner, Mentor and Instructor. She received her nursing degree from Maria College in Albany, NY and has experience in both long-term care and rehabilitation nursing. JoAnne is also a retiree of the New York State Department of Health where she enjoyed a long career as a nurse auditor investigating Medicaid fraud and overseeing regulatory processes and quality assurance. JoAnne is the current Director for the Center for Complementary Therapies at St. Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam, NY and maintains her private practice in the Capital District area.
JoAnne believes every individual can experience self-healing through energy work designed to allow the deep relaxation and integration necessary to promote health and wellness for the whole person – Body, Mind and Spirit. She is passionate about helping individuals reach their full potential for health and wellness.
